Jack Torreto joins his crew with his sons Dominic and Jacob. Dom argues with rival Kenny Linder over his dirty tactics. As the race resumes, Linder’s car cuts through Jack’s armor and lets the car crash into a wall and explode, killing him. Dom is arrested after the accident after nearly beating Linder to death. As he serves his sentence, he remembers Jacob working on Jack’s car the day he died and concludes that Jacob killed his father. Upon his release, Dom stands up and challenges Jacob to a race, forcing him to leave town if he loses.
